Chocolate Macaroon Recipe

Chocolate Macaroons
You will need:250 g sugar 70 g finely grated good quality chocolate 250 g finely grated almonds juice from 1/2 lemon 4 egg whites baking paper wafers (50 mm) known as Oblaten in Germany

Whisk the egg whites until stiff. Carefully fold all the other ingredients into the egg white mixture.Using a teaspoon, carefully put about a teaspoon of the chocolate macaroon mix onto the baking paper wafers. Make sure that you leave enough space around the edge as the cookies will spread during baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 150 degrees C for about 10-15 mins. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on a wire rack.
