Types Of Lettuce - German FeldsalatLamb's lettuce, field salad or corn salad are all names for this salad green. It is a popular winter salad full of vital minerals and vitamins. My kids love it and yours will too with my tangy salad dressing. In Germany it is called Feldsalat (field salad). The lamb's lettuce name comes from its resemblance to the size and shape of a lamb's tongue!
Winter Salad500g lamb's lettuce 3 dessert spoons vinegar 3 tsp oil 1/2 garlic clove 1/2 tsp mustard 1/4 tsp salt 1 small onion 5 radishes Wash the salad in salt water. You may need to repeat 2-3 times ensuring that it is clean. Remove the small roots and then spin well in a salad spinner. Put the salad in a bowl. Mix together the vinegar, oil, crushed garlic, mustard, salt and finely chopped onion. Pour the sauce over the salad and mix well. Chop the radishes and spinkle over the top of the salad.
