Buckie or Bucky?

My Grandmother use to make this desert at Christmas and Easter every year.

For Easter we would have it in the morning with kielbasa.

It was a cross between a loaf of bread and a pound cake. It was made with yeast and she usually made it plain or with raisons.

She would drizzle it with frosting and then slice it up and we would put butter on it.

Has anyone ever heard of this and know where the name came from?
