krautwurst

I'm not sure this is the correct name. It is made with pork head, cabbage, pork liver, garlic, potatoes, onion, is all I can remember. My grandmother made it all the time when I was a child. She callled it krautwurst. I remember her boiling the whole pigs head for hours and pulling the meat off from it the next day when it had cooled. Please help.
