german style donuts

by Michael Kissler
(Littleton, Co)

You make the dough and roll it out in a rectangle shape. Then you make two parallel slits lengthwise. You then grab the center loop and lift. Pull the right strip through the gap. Release the center and pull the left side through. Drop into hot oil. Remove and dust with powdered sugar. My parents are in their late 80's and don't remember. Help. Michael Kissler

Grebble!
by: Anonymous

Not sure if the spelling is right but you are looking for a Grebble recipe. My Grandma made them all the time when I was small. She would give us small paper bags with some powder sugar to to coat our grebble or dunk before eating them.

Hope you enjoy the recipe.
