German Chicken Recipe

Chicken Breast Recipes

A simple German chicken recipe is one of the easiest dishes to prepare and remains a popular family meal in our house. One of my easiest chicken breast recipes, it is a meal full of flavour

I like to cook with chicken as it’s economical, readily available and healthy too.

The fried chicken recipe that follows is simple and easy to prepare and is great for every day when you need a quick dinner.

Geschnetzelte simply means meat cut into strips. So easy and so yummy; you can't go wrong with this recipe.

Geschnetzelte Chicken

For 4 people:

500g chicken breast (already prepared without skin)
1 dessert spoon oil
1 dessert spoon butter
freshly ground salt and pepper
1 dessert spoon freshly chopped parsley

Wash and dry the chicken breasts. Cut in half and then cut into thin slices at an angle.

Heat the oil in a large pan and then cook the meat strips on a medium heat. This will take a couple of minutes for them to cook through. Remove the cooked chicken and set aside.

Heat the butter in the pan, season with salt and pepper and then sprinkle over the parsley. Add the chicken to the herb butter so it is coated and then remove from the pan.
