I am not sure this is spelled right, but I am looking for a recipe for flamkugen, a pizza type creation I loved.

DOUGH:
430 g flour
4 tablespoons oil or lard
1/4 liter of water
salt

BASE:
400 g creme fraiche
200 g onion
200 g bacon
200 g grated cheese

Preparation for Tarte with bacon and onions
Put the flour onto the work surface accumulate in the press center a recess therein to give the salt, the oil and finally add the water.
Use a fork to stir the water with the flour and knead into a soft dough. Goes well with the food processor.
Divide the dough into 8 portions and roll each share very thin.
The dough spread with cream fraiche, spread into thin strips sliced ​​onions to sprinkle the chopped bacon into small strips in between. If necessary, you can also squeeze some garlic on it. Thinly sprinkled with grated cheese.
In a hot oven (220-250 C) for 15-20 minutes, until the soil has become crusty and bubbling to the surface.

I just went to Germany and they made a salty kuchen and it was served like pizza..make a crust not sure how but I am using a traderjoes pizza crust. Then make the topping : 2eggs 1lb potaoes cooked and shredded. 1/2 c milk, 1 1/2 cup fresh cheese curd, 1onion that had been sautéed, parsley,salt and pepper, topped with small pieces of bacon and caraway seed. Then bake 30 min @ 480 degrees. She said she added extra salt because it is a "salty cake" it was great..I am making it today for the first time. We don't have fresh cheese here so going to look for a substitute , like ricotta ?
