Christmas Tree Cookies

An edible christmas easy recipe for kids.

You can make these Christmas tree cookies in the form of hearts, christmas trees, stars or whatever takes your fancy.

My German cookies recipe will make about 50. The whole family will enjoy making this German christmas recipe.

German Cookies

Beat the egg whites in a bowl until stiff. Sieve the powder sugar and add a little at a time and beat well. Lastly add the lemon juice and beat the mixture until smooth and glossy.

Put the egg white mixture in a piping bag with a star nozzle.Pipe out outline shapes of stars, hearts, trees or other forms onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with silver balls.

Bake in a preheated oven 100 degrees C for about 2 hours. They should actually dry out rather than bake.

Leave them to cool a little before removing from baking tray.

Use some coloured cord and hang your German christmas cookies on the Christmas tree.
